Zoë Mercer
You can talk to Zoë about anything (if you can get a word in edgeways), but especially about publishing and book design. Zoë trained at Watford School of Art and the London College of Printing. She previously worked for Harper Collins Publishers and was Managing Art Editor at Carlton Books. Zoë is largely responsible for our work in the publishing sector and specialises in designing high-quality illustrated reference and lifestyle books. Adept at managing large projects, her current work includes book design for The Natural History Museum and RIBA amongst others. Zoë likes olives and wine, double entendres, the Cotswolds, Portuguese door knockers and long walks. Her dreams include taking a gastronomic tour of Italy in a Citroen DS convertible and owning a field of miniature ponies.
Phoebe White
Phoebe is a graduate of Typography and Graphic Communication from Reading University. With experience in editorial, website design, branding and packaging, she has a genuine excitement about the power of design, and how good accessible design can positively impact society. As a result, she has worked with various charitable organisations, and loves an opportunity to create something both beautiful and educational. Having recently relocated from the coast to the city, she misses the salty air and being able to go for a quick afternoon dip in the sea, but has been embracing the hustle and bustle of urban life. Phoebe loves to cook, design illustrative cards, and has even dabbled in boxing! However, she doesn’t put up much of a fight when it comes to afternoon cake time at Mercer Design…
