We have helped with a number of printed stationery and design projects for the Irish Linen Company. The company was established in 1875 and continues to specialise in the sourcing and selling of the finest Irish Linens. As a holder of a Royal Warrant to Her Majesty the Queen, the company wished to have stationery of the highest possible quality.
The engraving process creates a raised and burnished effect to the gold Royal crest. The level of detail is not possible with conventional forms of printing. In some respects engraving is similar to letterpress printing, but the typography and graphics are raised on the paper. The choice of paper for engraving is key, and for the Irish Linen Company we chose Rives Paper which has a beautiful linen effect.
